Biography
Ariel DeFazio is Of Counsel at Lowrey Parady Lebsack, LLC where she represents employees in state and federal litigation, administrative investigations of discrimination and retaliation, and other pre-litigation negotiation and counseling. After earning her B.S. from Cornell University, serving with AmeriCorps, and working in the nonprofit field, Ms. DeFazio graduated from the University of Colorado Law School. Since earning her J.D., Ms. DeFazio has devoted her legal career to representing employees in matters of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge, contractual disputes, and other federal and state legal claims. Ariel is a member of the Plaintiff Employment Lawyers Association, where she served as an officer from 2018 through 2021, and the Colorado LGBT Bar Association, where she served on the board from 2013 through 2015. She is also a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Colorado Women's Bar Association, Faculty of Federal Advocates, and Colorado Bar Association's Labor & Employment Section. She volunteers periodically providing legal assistance to pro se litigants through the CBA's Federal Pro Se Legal Clinic and is a member of the National Women's Law Center's Legal Network for Gender Equity.
